Annual Report 2007 - A Vision for Five Waterfront (3.48 mg)

Expanding the influence of the Port of San Diego through outreach with its five member cities was an underlying goal of the Board of Port Commissioners in 2007. The Port worked with its member city governments on development projects  - emphasizing community input. Dozens of community outreach meetings were held for p rojects like the North Embarcadero Visionary Plan, the Chula Vista Bayfront Master Plan, the Shelter Island Boat Launch Ramp refurbishment, the commercial fishing area improvements and others. This Annual Plan highlights those projects and also explains why the Port continues to be an economic engine for the San Diego region.
