Energy Savings Programs for Your Home

Energy Saving Programs for Your Home

Learn how you can save money on your SDG&E bills. Making your home more energy efficient is a great way to save money and energy, and SDG&E has many programs to help you do just that. Learn about rebates on energy-efficient purchases, appliance recycling programs, free lighting exchanges, bill credits for saving energy on select days, and more. Also, take the Home Energy Efficiency survey, which helps you better understand your energy usage and the best ways to save. To learn more about these programs and take the survey, visit www.sdge.com/saveenergy or call the Energy Savings Center at 1.800.644.6133.

Sustainable Communities Program

The award-winning Sustainable Communities Program advances and promotes the use of clean energy generation technologies within SDG&E's service area. The program strategically integrates utility-owned generation systems, such as photovoltaics, fuel cells and wind power with sustainable building projects to provide energy to the grid. The systems are installed, maintained, and operated by SDG&E.

Clean Transportation Program

SDG&E is working to drive the adoption of low emission vehicles to reduce air pollution. The Clean Transportation program provides information and resources to customers and the community on plug-in electric vehicles, electric vehicle fleets, and electric vehicle charging. SDG&E also provides discounted residential electric vehicle time-of-use rates, along with commercial time-of-use rates for fleet operators, to encourage off peak vehicle charging.

Smart Meter

Smart Meters allow for two-way communication between you and SDG&E. Each day, these meters record your energy use and then remotely send it to SDG&E's data center for operations, billing and customer service. Smart Meters will help SDG&E better manage overall energy needs, detect power outages as they happen, help you save energy and money, and will enable future "smart" homes and businesses.
