Port of San Diego's Day at the Docks
A San Diego sportfishing tradition, Port of San Diego Day at the Docks is the West Coast’s largest public celebration of sportfishing. Signaling the official start of Southern California’s spring saltwater fishing season, Day at the Docks takes place on Sunday, April 13, 2025 against the colorful and dynamic backdrop of the world-renowned sportfishing fleet on San Diego Bay. This annual event provides marine attractions for the whole family.
For 2025, Day at the Docks has expanded to include the area surrounding the sportfishing fleet. The public is invited to discover and explore the many marine recreational opportunities on the waterfront as well as the restaurants and breweries in the area. A bayside walkway provides access around the perimeter of America’s Cup Harbor, starting north at the commercial fleet docks and fish markets at Driscoll’s Wharf and connecting to the restaurants and the sportfishing landings en route to Shelter Island on the southern side.
