Elba Gomez

Vice President of Administration/Chief Administrative Officer

Elba Gomez joined the Port as the Vice President of Administration/Chief Administrative Officer in May 2022. She leads the People Services, Information Technology, Information Security, Safety, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion departments. Prior to joining the Port, Gomez served as Madera County’s director of human resources and chief negotiator with 13 employee organizations, oversaw all human resources functions for over 30 county departments, and as secretary to the Civil Service Commission. She has also worked in IT and IS services management for non-profit organizations and has brought this knowledge to the public sector. Gomez holds a master’s degree in human resources management from the Keller Graduate School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in business technical management from DeVry University.
