Imperial Beach Pier Maintenance Project Update: Utility Work Planned for Monday

As part of the Imperial Beach Pier maintenance project, water to the pier will be shut off from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025 while crews install a new water line. During the work, the public restrooms on the pier and The Tin Fish restaurant at the end of the pier will be closed. The pier and the public restroom located in the pier plaza will remain fully open to the public during the scheduled work.

The maintenance project began in November 2024 when crews replaced two pilings to maintain structural integrity of the iconic pier, ensuring it can be enjoyed by visitors and the community for generations to come.

Future deck board replacement work may require partial pier closures or short full-pier closures. More details will be released at a later date. The project is anticipated to be completed in summer 2025. Information and updates on this project, as well as recent pier enhancements, can be found at portofsandiego.org/IBPierProject.
