Port of San Diego to Host 2022 South Bay Holiday Event
Contact: Anonymous,
The Port of San Diego invites the community to celebrate the season at the 2022 South Bay Holiday. The Port is hosting this free, family-friendly festivity at the Aquatic Center on the National City Bayfront from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.
The Port’s Aquatic Center is in the heart of Pepper Park at 3299 Tidelands Avenue, National City, CA 91950. Free shuttle service is available to attendees from two pick-up locations in National City: Paradise Creek Apartments, 2120 Hoover Avenue, and the National City Public Library at 1401 National City Blvd.
At the event, guests can enjoy complimentary holiday treats, refreshments, giveaways, activities, and have their photo taken with Santa, who will be on center stage ready to share some holiday cheer! Attendees will also have an opportunity to shop for unique, handmade gifts created by local artisan craft vendors who will be on-site with one-of-a-kind offerings available for purchase.
“This is the third year the Port is hosting this special South Bay Holiday event where our community can come together and be joyful,” said Commissioner Sandy Naranjo, National City’s appointee on the Board of Port Commissioners. “It’s a great way to interact with the public, showcase our Aquatic Center, and support our local artisans and merchants.”
Attendees can explore the Port’s Aquatic Center, a beautiful waterfront event space perfect for family parties, intimate weddings, corporate events, and community meetings, and learn about the Port of San Diego.
No RSVP is required to attend, and parking at the venue is free and plentiful. For more information or if you have any questions, contact PortAquaticCenter@portofsandiego.org.
This event is part of the Port’s Parks & Recreation annual holiday programming, which focuses on creating a vibrant waterfront destination with activation events for the public, innovative artworks, unique cultural programming, and diverse recreational opportunities that enhance the visitor experience and cultural richness on San Diego Bay.
