Port of San Diego to Host Multiple Public Meetings for Community Input on Upcoming Bayfront Events

In 2024, the Port of San Diego will hold three public special events along San Diego Bay to help bring communities together and connect them with the bayfront. These events will take place at Cesar Chavez Park in Barrio Logan on the San Diego Bayfront, Pepper Park on the National City Bayfront, and Bayfront Park on the Chula Vista Bayfront.
To help identify what the special events will be – theme, entertainment, food, and beverages – the Port invites community members to attend and participate in one of two workshops for each event – one in person and one virtual. The workshops will take place at the following times and locations:

Bayfront Park Workshop Details

All workshops are open to the public and Spanish interpretation will be available. Tagalog interpretation will also be available for the Pepper Park workshops. Free parking, refreshments, and children’s art activities will be available at the in-person workshops.
Creating experiences for bayfront communities is part of the Port’s “Expanded Access Events” category under the Port’s Tidelands Activation Programs. Each year, the Port will continue to engage and collaborate with local communities to plan events in the Port’s under-activated waterfront parks.
