Port of San Diego Prepares to Host its Fourth South Bay Holiday Event!

The Port of San Diego cordially invites the public to celebrate the holiday season at the 2023 South Bay Holiday event! This year’s festivities are free, family friendly, and is hosted by the Port at the Aquatic Center on the National City Bayfront. The event is on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
The Port’s Aquatic Center is located next to Pepper Park at 3299 Tidelands Avenue, National City, CA 91950. Free shuttle service is available for attendees at the National City Public Library at 1401 National City Blvd from 4:30 p.m. until 8:15 p.m. Free Rides Around National City (FRANC) will also be running their regular shuttle service until 7 p.m. For more information about FRANC, click here.
During the event, guests can enjoy classic holiday treats, refreshments, giveaways, activities, and have their photo taken with Santa, who will be on center stage ready to share some holiday cheer. Attendees will also have an opportunity to shop for unique, handmade gifts crafted by local artisans, as well as other vendors who will be on-site with one-of-a-kind offerings available for purchase.
“We are incredibly excited to host the fourth South Bay Holiday event this year on the National City Bayfront,” said Commissioner Sandy Naranjo, National City’s appointee on the Board of Port Commissioners. “It’s a great way to bring the community together to celebrate the holiday season, support local businesses, and showcase our beautiful Aquatic Center and waterfront.”
Attendees can also explore the Port’s Aquatic Center, a beautiful waterfront event space perfect for family parties, intimate weddings, corporate events, and community meetings, and learn about the Port of San Diego.
No RSVP is required to attend, and parking at the venue is free and plentiful.
This event is part of the Port’s Parks & Recreation annual holiday programming, which focuses on creating a vibrant waterfront destination with activation events for the public, innovative artworks, unique cultural programming, and diverse recreational opportunities that enhance the visitor experience and cultural richness on San Diego Bay.
